Come focus on identifying birds by sight and sound at the Union Bay Natural Area, one of Seattle’s top birding hot spots. This is a perfect walk for beginner to intermediate birders, as we will be focusing on the fundamentals of birding and bird identification throughout a variety of habitats. The variety of habitats lend themselves to many families of birds, including both waterfowl and songbirds.

Do you want to become better at birding by ear? Come focus on identifying bird vocalizations in the forested areas, meadows, thickets, and walking paths throughout Discovery Park. We can expect to hear a variety of sparrow, warbler, wren, woodpecker, flycatcher, finch, raptor, corvid, kinglet, thrush and more families of birds calling and singing throughout the morning.
