Our Website

Our website is to be used for learning about and booking tours and classes with Birding the Sound. We will respond to all genuine inquiries as quickly as possible.

All original photographs, videos, audio recordings, and other media displayed on this website are protected by copyright and may not be downloaded, reproduced, modified, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

Booking/Payment

Prices advertised are per person (Adult or Child) and do not include taxes, booking fees, or guide gratuities. Taxes and fees are applied at check-out. Full payment is due at checkout and secures your tour or class.

Rescheduling or Cancelling a Tour

Cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled tour or class date cannot be refunded or rescheduled. Cancellations 2 days out or longer will be refunded 50% or alternatively can be rescheduled for another date. Tours and classes cannot be rescheduled more than once.

Weather

We bird in the rain! Only in the event of extremely dangerous weather, such as severe snow storms, or fire smoke with an Air Quality Index of 200 or more, will our tours and classes be rescheduled. In that instance we would offer a rescheduling free of additional charge.

Children

All children under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Environment and Wildlife Protection

Birding the Sound and all participants follow the Leave No Trace outdoor principles and adhere to the American Birding Association’s Code of Birding Ethics.

Code of Conduct

Our business is committed to creating a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants, students, guides, and members of the community. We expect everyone to treat others with respect, communicate thoughtfully and professionally, respect differences, and act responsibly towards the people, animals, and habitats we engage with.

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services for anyone whose behavior does not align with these expectations or compromises the safety of others.
